Update

I haven't posted anything in awhile so I thought I would give everyone a quick update. Drew has been doing much better over the past month. He has been working a ton and enjoying himself as much as he can. He had a doc appt. last week and the current plan is to have a scan done next month and to reassess the situation. From there we will decide if chemo is an option and what treatment plan he will be on. Right now the doc is concerned that Drew's quality of life will detoriate if he starts chemo right now. We are taking things day to day.

Drew just bought a small salt water fish tank and has been enjoying working on it. Aubrey loves helping him feed the fish, clean the tank, and going to fish stores so it has been a good project for them to work on together. Drew went to Orlando this weekend for a bachelor party. I was extremely worried about him going but he promised he would take it easy and take care of himself so hopefully he won't overdo it. Drew just doesn't have the physical strength anymore so he really needs to rest part of each day and can't stay out too late so we will see how it goes this weekend. Our friends are getting married in 2 weeks so we are really looking forward to heading up to Orlando for the big day. Drew is a groomsmen and Aubrey is the flower girl. We are also going to head to disney for a few days while we are there and are extremely excited for Mickey's Halloween party. Aubrey is going to be Ariel, the little mermaid. Below is a picture from Disney on Ice, before this Aubrey wanted to be Strawberry Shortcake, now she wants to be Ariel.

We also scheduled my c-section this week, our daughter will be born on December 13th. We can't wait for her to arrive, although I am already getting nervous of being sleep deprived and exhausted. Aubrey seems to be very excited as well. Hopefully only more good things to come!

  2. I admire your strength and devotion. My prayers are for Drew. Tell him to stay positive, rest when he needs to, and keep his faith. It's during the hard times our walk with Jesus is so inspiring. One of my inspirational scriptures is James 1.
Many have walked this path before him and with Gods blessing, he will win too. He already has with such a wonderful family. God Bless you all.
