Drew just met with Dr. Holtzman's PA and we got the ok to fly home tomorrow. The PA said everything looks great and it will just take some time for Drew to feel 100% normal again because he had such a big surgery. Drew can expect to be tired and fatigued for the next few weeks and he cannot lift for the next 6 weeks.
Over the past few days we have been hanging out in the hotel relaxing and taking some walks for exercise. Drew is slowly getting his appetite back and eating a little more everyday. Each day he has more energy. We are looking forward to going home tomorrow and are very excited to get back to Aubrey. A big thanks goes out to my parents for taking such good care of Aubrey since we have been gone. We know she is in very good hands and loves her grandparents very much.

Just got back in town late last nite (from being 'disconnected' for a week) and am so happy to hear that you are going home! :)
ReplyDeleteThere are a ton of positive thoughts and prayers coming your way. Knowing what you are going through first hand (for the most part) brings back some not so fond memories but I know that by looking at these pictures that are posted you have a lot to be thankful for (and again, a lot of people on your side.) Feel better!! Hope to see you soon. David Beaman
Yea! I'm sure it will feel so good to be back in your own home and for Drew to be able to see Aubrey again. Have a good flight!
ReplyDeleteLove, Lindsay
Have a safe flight and I know he just can't wait to give Aubrey a big bear hug! Enjoy - we are thinking of you!
ReplyDeleteHey Drew, just Lorraine from Jack's store...So very glad and happy to hear that you are home now. It has to be comforting to be back with faily AND Aubrey. Take it easy, but please keep your positive outlook, they say that that is soooo important to healing. They also say that laughter is the best medicine...well let me know when you feel up to laughing, I have a lot of grandson happenings to tell you. But for now, relax, get stronger and stay away from McDonalds food! (ha ha ha). I do miss your happy face popping up at work...so get better please!! Lorraine
