Drew is waiting to get his staples removed from his incision and he will be discharged from the hospital. Yippee!! Hopefully we will get out of here around 3:00 this afternoon. We will be staying in Pittsburgh for a couple of days and our plan is to fly home to Florida on Tuesday afternoon. Drew is very excited to see Aubrey and to get home.
Overall the hospital stay hasn't been too bad because Drew has received such great care from the doctors and nurses here so it has made the time go by faster than his past surgeries. The next step is for Drew to go through another 6 months of chemo. He has an appointment with his oncologist on April 26th and most likely will start chemo the first week of May. He will also have scans every 3 months.
Thanks to everyone for their support and we do still have a long road ahead, but we will get through it. I will continue to update the blog with Drew's progress going forward and we appreciate all our readers. Thanks again!

Alright, Drew!!! I know you must be ecstatic to break out of there! I am so happy that in a few days you and Kerri will get to be with Aubrey and you can have the best medicine there is...being with your daughter and wife together. I am so happy for you both.
