We got home late afternoon Tuesday and it was great to be home. Aubrey was inside the airport waiting for us and was very happy to see us which made Drew and I feel great. Drew was in a wheelchair due to the long walks at the airport so Aubrey got to sit on Daddy's lap for awhile on the wheelchair and really seemed to like it. Drew has been taking it easy over the past few days trying to get as much rest as possible. He is extremely fatigued and weak which is a side effect from the surgery and it will take a few more weeks until he gets most of his energy back. The surgeon said he should feel somewhat normal 4-6 weeks out from surgery and his physician assistant said it is more like 6-8 weeks out and Drew will be at week 3 from surgery on Monday. It is so good to be home and with Aubrey. Drew is so much more comfortable now and loves watching Aubrey play. Tonight Aubrey played baseball for about an hour in our room while Daddy cheered her on. She can actually hit the ball pretty good, she seems to be a bit of an athlete.
Thanks for everyone's support and wishes for a speedy recovery!
