Back to PA
Well I made it back to Pittsburgh and Drew looks great! All his tubes and IV's are out and he is feeling a lot more comfortable. He started on a liquid diet yesterday and hopefully can eat some real food tomorrow. They even got him off of his PCA pump which administers him pain medicine when needed. One of the oncologist's on staff here stopped by and told Drew he should go back on chemo in the beginning of May for prevention and stay on it for as long as needed. They also suggested having another CT scan in a month or 2 months to ensure that the type of chemo he will be on is the right regimen. There are some clinical trials going on right now that Drew does not qualify for, but if the scan shows something different he can possible get into a trial if needed. Drew is in a little pain because his PCA pump is off and he is taking pain medication orally but that should lessen as the day goes on. He really does look so much better today than from a few days ago.
