Dr. Holtzman or otherwise known as "Mcdreamy"

So I haven't been able to update everyone on the Mcdreamy at UPMC. Drew's doctor, Dr. Holtzman, is great. He is super friendly, easy to talk to, straight forward and very good looking. He definitely looks similar to Mcdreamy on Grey's Anatomy, maybe even better looking.

When it comes to hospital care we are definitely in the right place. UPMC is wonderful! The care in the ICU is top notch, Drew had a great night last night. The nurses took great care of him and about 5 different doctors stopped in during the night to ensure he was in no pain. Dr. Holtzman came by at 8:30 this morning and spent some time with us. He told us the same thing as yesterday, there was a reasonable amount of disease, he got out what he could see, and we have to take it from here one day at a time. Drew looks better today than during recovery of any other surgery and this one was about 1000 times worse than any surgery he has had. Today the nurse is even going to have Drew sit in a chair for part of the day. Usually that happens on day 3 of recovery not the 1st day after surgery. I know we are in the right place and had the right doctor. I wish we were here for Drew's past surgeries and I highly recommend if anyone you know has cancer, send them here. We met people from all around the country in the waiting room yesterday, here for all different types of cancer. It is a fabulous place and if all the doctors look like Dr. Holtzman you can't go wrong!
